St. Louis Earth Day is currently seeking sponsors for the 2010 Outdoor Event/Festival season. Our ability to provide this service to a wide range of events is directly related to the Sponsorship commitments we receive from the St. Louis community (and beyond!). Sponsorship contributions enable us to bring greening services to events that attract under-served and minority audiences as well as events hosted by nonprofits that do not have the resources necessary to carry out a green event. With your help, we are able to work with their event organizers to transform the event into an environmentally sensitive affair - that is still lots of fun! Sponsorship opportunities range from targeted sponsorship of a specific event to support of the entire season. Sponsors receive recognition on the signage that appears on each recycling container throughout the event footprint, leaving an impression with an event attendee every time he or she makes the decision of whether or not to utilize the recycling container. Depending on the event, there are also opportunities to be included in the event program, during stage announcements, and on event signage. Our goal is to green at least three events every month from March through October through an engaging educational process that trains event organizers and vendors to reconsider the status quo. We award preference to repeat events so that we can compare waste diversion data from year to year, documenting improvement as positive changes occur. We are setting our 2010 Event schedule now! Please contact cassie@stlouisearthday for more information on how you can impact the thousands of people who will attend outdoor festivals next year!
