To continue improving the Festival from year to year, we need community support to know who to invite back next year. We are looking for volunteers to conduct a structured evaluation of the following: Neighborhoods and Booths Entertainment Earth Day Café/Food Vendors Educational Activities We will provide the evaluation sheets and a map of your evaluation site. The evaluation schedule/time frame is flexible.

Leadership Positions St. Louis Earth Day is seeking passionate and reliable people who are good with people, thinking on their feet, and creative problem solving to help coordinate volunteers, field questions from vendors, and help festival attendees. If you are interested in making an important contribution of your time and talent, please indicate the areas you would like to help below. Leadership positions require some pre-festival communication and a full day commitment on Sunday, April 25th to ensure continuity. Neighborhood Captain - the "go to" person for vendors and attendees of specific thematic zones in the festival layout. Captains participate in vendor set up, help direct attendees to educational activities, work with volunteers, and provide feedback to event coordinators. Captains will also help evaluate educational exhibitors.
Volunteer Captain - assist the volunteer coordinator in briefing and organizing volunteers for their 2-3 hour shifts.

Planning Committee Positions - Get involved with making the Festival happen! Committee members will help recruit ideal vendors, exhibitors, and activity providers; help shape the neighborhood activities; and provide guidance, support, and inspiration during the planning process. Entertainment Coordinators - Love supporting local music and talent? Volunteer to recruit and select performers for the Earth Day Café Stage and the Local Performance Grass Stage. We are looking for stage MCs too! Local Food Committee - Help identify, recruit, and select food vendors that are committed to Earth Day values! Earth Day Challenge Coordinator - Support the Earth Day Challenge by soliciting gifts for participants. Also help promote the Challenge and coordinate the day-of participant awards and records. Raffle Coordinator - Solicit prizes and coordinate pick up. Post prize descriptions and thank donors. Transportation Coordinator - Use your creativity to encourage more people to bike, walk, use the Metro, and carpool INSTEAD of driving to the Festival. Social Networking Coordinator - Maintain Earth Day's social networking presence on Facebook and Twitter.
Volunteer with our partners who are helping with our event! Celebrate Earth Day this year by doing your part to keep Forest Park clean! In conjunction with the St. Louis Earth Day Festival, The Open Space Council is conducting an annual Forest Park Operation Wild Lands: Trash Pick Up. Meet at the lower MUNY parking lot at 9:00AM. Supplies and refreshments will be provided. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please Note: Some volunteer duties require some light to moderate lifting, walking the Festival grounds and/or standing for periods of time. Please indicate your comfort level on your registration form. We strongly recommend volunteers bring their own water bottles and sunscreen. |









Be part of the
team that makes the Festival happen, create new friendships, and contribute to
the educational programming that enriches the attendee experience. All Festival
volunteers will be fed and given free water.
