Internship Summary


Scope:  Fall is arguably just as busy at St. Louis Earth Day as we are in spring just before Festival. We are seeking recent graduates or college students (in their final year of study in a graphics design or marketing) to assist St. Louis Earth Day staff during the pre-planning for the St. Louis Earth Day Festival. Internships are non-compensated, but are golden opportunities to gain critical experience, contacts, and skills that will bolster your experience on your resume. Candidate will work side by side with staff (primarily the Executive Director) during the fall 2017. Internship time frame: Present date-December 2017.


Description:  Candidates need to be detail-oriented, flexible, and have strong interest in obtaining significant experience in website content maintenance, graphic design layout, and have keen interest in content order and management . The ideal candidate would have passion and allegiance for sustainability practices and belief in the St. Louis Earth Day mission. Must be available 10-20 hours during the work week, and have own transportation or reliable alternative.

Requirements:

  • 10-20 hours availability per week during the work day.
  • Availability to work through the evening on Thursday, October 26 for the Taste of Green fundraiser
  • Experience editing WordPress websites, or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in Adobe creative suite, especially Illustrator
  • Passion for creating and managing information in spreadsheets
  • Must love dogs

 


Fall Marketing Intern

  • Update newly re-designed website with uniform elements
  • Transfer information into new website
  • Develop Festival sponsorship benefits tracking system
  • Create blogs for the SLED website
  • Develop advertisement templates for Festival 2018
  • Develop media contact list for SLED
  • Issue media advisories
